The short version
- 1Buyers are finding you less, and your homepage is competing with your own editing page. Google picks the homepage for "dissertation editing services" and puts it around #10. The dedicated page, which never uses the word "services", sits near #28 and got 12 clicks from 15,987 appearances.
- 2One competitor turns up everywhere. thedissertationcoach.com was in Google's top 10 for 10 of the 14 buyer and question searches we checked. You were in 6.
- 3Your Word and APA posts get the attention and sell nothing. The clean-copy post brought more Google visitors than all 14 service pages combined (191 against 97). Neither article offers a service anywhere in its text. The demo below shows the fix.
- 4Google can't see your PhDs. Every article is credited to a WordPress login called "adminsupport-1025". Your 18 editors live in pop-ups on one page, and none has a page of their own.
- 5Your old website still haunts Search Console. Google is still trying to read a map of 344 addresses from your previous platform, and those addresses no longer exist. Your firewall also locks out anyone who follows a few of those dead links, and that includes us.
- 6On a phone, the site is slow because of marketing tags. Your server is fast. The rates page takes 8.4 seconds to show its main content on a phone.
Every fix in this audit is written so your team can act on it. Each step carries a tag. Agent steps come with a prompt you can copy to an AI assistant that can log in to your WordPress, or send to your web developer as a brief. It names the pages, the current text, the new text and how to check the result. Agent drafts, you approve steps produce a draft for your team to read before it goes live. Your team steps depend on knowing the business, so they come as a checklist. All the fixes, in the order to do them, are collected near the end.
Fewer buyers reach you through the homepage
Your homepage is the page Google shows for most editor searches, including "dissertation editor" and "dissertation editing services". Since February it has lost three quarters of its Google visitors.
Across the whole site, visitors a day have fallen 46% since February, and the homepage accounts for most of that loss. The next section explains why it is slipping.
Your busiest page sells nothing
Google sent you 466 visitors in the last three months, from 123,520 appearances in search results. The largest share went to a Word how-to:
Most people who read that post are ordinary Word users, and no page will turn them into clients. The ones worth catching are doctoral students with a chapter full of their committee's tracked changes. Right now the post gives them nowhere to go. The demo further down shows how to turn it into a page that sells.
The Word post has a different problem. It still ranks around #5 and Google still shows it about as often, but fewer people click it: 0.72% in February and 0.35% in August. That usually means Google has started answering the question itself at the top of the page. It is our reading of the pattern, since Search Console does not report it directly.
Your editing page loses to your own homepage
When someone searches "dissertation editing services", Google has two of your pages to choose from and picks the homepage, because it is the stronger page overall. The homepage is a general introduction, though, and ranks around #10. The page that actually sells editing ranks near #28. The two pages split 94 searches between them.
The editing page's title in Google does not match what buyers type:
Struck-through text is what the page says today. Underlined text is the replacement.
The fix is to give each page one job. The homepage introduces the firm and passes editing searches to the editing page, which says "services", "proofreading" and "thesis" where Google reads first. The next section gives the new wording for both pages, and for three more that have the same problem.
Five pages to reword, one page at a time
This is the section to hand to whoever edits your website. Buyers search for proofreading, thesis help, consulting, statistics and price, and Google shows you for all of it. It rarely shows the page that sells the thing, so almost nobody clicks:
Each page below shows what is going wrong in Google today, the new wording with today's text struck through, and the links to add, with the exact words to link. One prompt at the end covers all five pages.
1. Make the editing page the one Google picks/dissertation-editing/
Google sends your editing buyers to the homepage. For "dissertation editing services" the homepage sits around #10 and this page near #28. For "dissertation editing" it is #16 against #50. This page got 12 clicks from 15,987 appearances in three months.
Proofreading and thesis buyers never reach it. "Dissertation proofreading services" appeared 1,089 times at about #31, and Google showed the homepage for it. "Thesis editing services" appeared 953 times with this page at about #26. On this page, proofreading is a small card heading, and "thesis" appears twice.
Links to add
- Homepage, "Dissertation Editing" card:"dissertation editing services"to /dissertation-editing/
- /rates/, next to the proofreading price:"dissertation proofreading"to /dissertation-editing/
- /style-formatting/, near the top:"thesis editing and proofreading"to /dissertation-editing/
2. Let the homepage introduce the firm/
The homepage is trying to rank for every service, and ranks weakly for each. Its title says "Dissertation Editing Services", so Google treats it as the editing page. It also takes the consulting searches: "dissertation consultant" and four similar wordings appeared 737 times on the homepage at #25 to #47, for no clicks. Its Google visitors fell from 86 in February to 20 in August.
Keep the main heading, "America's #1 Dissertation Service". It is your line, and it does not compete with any service page.
Links to add
- "Dissertation Editing" card:"dissertation editing services"to /dissertation-editing/
- "Dissertation Statistics and Data Analysis" card:"dissertation statistics help"to /data-analysis/
- "Dissertation Coaching and Consulting" card:"dissertation coaching and consulting"to /coaching-consultation/
- "Dissertation Style Formatting" card:"dissertation and thesis formatting"to /style-formatting/
3. Claim "dissertation consultant" on the coaching page/coaching-consultation/
Consulting buyers land on the homepage, far down the results. "Dissertation consultant" appeared 255 times at about #44, "dissertation consultants" 152 times at #37, "dissertation consultation services" 137 times at #28. Across every consulting wording: 1,550 appearances and 1 click. For "dissertation consultant", Google does not show the coaching page at all. The page says "coach" 43 times and "consult" 17.
Links to add
- Homepage, coaching card:"dissertation coaching and consulting"to /coaching-consultation/
- /data-analysis/, "Coaching & Tutoring" section:"dissertation consulting"to /coaching-consultation/
4. Make one page lead for statistics/data-analysis/
Three pages share the statistics searches, so none of them wins. For "dissertation data analysis services", Google shows /data-analysis/ (192 times, about #10), /qualitative/ (182 times, about #12) and /quantitative/ (49 times, about #30). "Statistics dissertation help" appeared 227 times at about #35. Across the group: 3,055 appearances, no clicks.
/quantitative/ and /qualitative/ keep their own titles. They become the detail pages under /data-analysis/, linked both ways.
Links to add
- /data-analysis/, "Quantitative Research" section:"quantitative data analysis"to /quantitative/
- /data-analysis/, "Qualitative Research" section:"qualitative data analysis"to /qualitative/
- Top of /quantitative/ and /qualitative/:"dissertation statistics help"to /data-analysis/
- Post /thesis-statistics-help-right-test/:"dissertation statistics help"to /data-analysis/
5. Answer the price on the rates page/rates/
Google already puts this page near the top for price, and it doesn't answer the question. In our live check it was #3 for "dissertation editor cost", a search that appeared 443 times in three months for 1 click. "Dissertation editing rates" appeared 247 times at about #6, for no clicks. The page lists per-word prices, but a buyer still has to do the sum, and the turnaround times sit on the FAQ.
The totals are your per-word rates ($0.025, $0.035, $0.045 and $0.06) applied to 60,000 words. The turnaround times are copied from your FAQ. The new title and description replace the current ones completely.
Links to add
- /faq/, the turnaround answer:"what dissertation editing costs"to /rates/
- /dissertation-editing/, "Ready to Get Started?" section:"see what dissertation editing costs"to /rates/
- Agent Change the titles, descriptions and headings on pages 1 to 4 as shown.
- Agent Add the links listed under each page, with exactly those words.
- Agent drafts, you approve Add the cost block, title and description to /rates/.
- Leave ghostwriting searches alone (2,022 appearances). Your integrity policy rules that work out.
Prompt for an AI agent or your developer: all five pages
You are editing the WordPress site dissertation-editor.com (WordPress, Elementor Pro, Yoast SEO). Work in the WordPress admin. Confirm a current backup exists before you start. Change only the text listed below and leave the design alone. The site's firewall (WP Defender) locks out anyone who requests several missing pages in a row, so never test addresses in bulk.
Task: reword five pages so each one matches the searches its buyers type. Pages 1 to 4 can be published. Page 5 goes to the owner as a draft or preview first.
1. /dissertation-editing/
- Yoast SEO title: "Dissertation and Thesis Editing by PhD's" becomes "Dissertation Editing and Proofreading Services by PhD Editors".
- Yoast meta description becomes "Dissertation and thesis editing and proofreading by PhD editors, from a final proofread to developmental editing. Proofreading from $0.025 a word. Free first-page sample edit."

- Yoast meta description becomes "Editing, formatting, statistics and coaching from PhD editors, trusted by over 3,500 doctoral students. Send your first page for a free sample edit."
- Keep the H1 "America's #1 Dissertation Service" as it is.
- Service card heading "Qualitative and Quantitative Data Analysis" becomes "Dissertation Statistics and Data Analysis".
- Service card heading "Dissertation Coaching and Tutoring" becomes "Dissertation Coaching and Consulting".
- In each card, add and link these exact words (add a short sentence around them if needed):
"Dissertation Editing" card: "dissertation editing services" to /dissertation-editing/
statistics card: "dissertation statistics help" to /data-analysis/
coaching card: "dissertation coaching and consulting" to /coaching-consultation/

- H2: "Our Dissertation Coaching & Tutoring Services" becomes "Our Dissertation Coaching and Consulting Services".
- On /data-analysis/, in the "Coaching & Tutoring" section, link the words "dissertation consulting" to /coaching-consultation/ (add them if needed).
4. /data-analysis/
- Yoast SEO title: "Dissertation Data Analysis Services | Dissertation Editor" becomes "Dissertation Statistics Help and Data Analysis | Dissertation Editor".
- Yoast meta description becomes "Dissertation statistics help from PhD statisticians: quantitative and qualitative analysis, including SPSS and NVivo, planned around your research questions."
- H1: "Data Analysis by Statisticians With PhDs" becomes "Dissertation Statistics Help from PhD Statisticians".

- In the "Quantitative Research" section, link "quantitative data analysis" to /quantitative/. In "Qualitative Research", link "qualitative data analysis" to /qualitative/.
- Near the top of /quantitative/ and of /qualitative/, add "Part of our dissertation statistics help." and link "dissertation statistics help" to /data-analysis/.
- In the post /thesis-statistics-help-right-test/, link the words "dissertation statistics help" to /data-analysis/ (add them in the closing paragraph if needed).
5. /rates/ (draft or preview for the owner; do not publish without a yes)
- Yoast SEO title becomes "Dissertation Editing Rates and Costs | Dissertation Editor".
- Yoast meta description becomes "Dissertation editing from $0.025 a word. A 60,000-word dissertation costs $1,500 to proofread or $2,100 to copy edit. Full dissertations typically take 7 to 12 business days."
- H1: "Rates" becomes "How Much Does Dissertation Editing Cost?"
- Directly under the H1, add: "Editing is priced by the word. For a 60,000-word dissertation: proofreading $1,500, copy editing $2,100, line editing $2,700, heavy developmental editing $3,600. Documents under 50 pages typically take 5 business days, and full dissertations of 100 to 250 pages typically take 7 to 12. Rush service is available. We confirm the exact turnaround before you order."
- H2: "Editing A-La-Carte Pricing" becomes "Dissertation Editing Prices per Word".
- Next to the proofreading price, link the words "dissertation proofreading" to /dissertation-editing/.
- On /faq/, in the answer about turnaround, link the words "what dissertation editing costs" to /rates/ (add a short sentence if needed).
- On /style-formatting/, near the top, link the words "thesis editing and proofreading" to /dissertation-editing/.
Check the result:
- Open each page in a private browser window and confirm the new headings show.
- View each page's source and confirm the <title> and <meta name="description"> show the new text.
- Click every new link once and confirm it opens the right page.
- Confirm nothing else on the pages changed.
When you finish, list every change you made, page by page, with the old text and the new text.
How to tell it worked: in Search Console, open Performance, filter by each page, and compare the searches it shows for against the lists above. A reworded page usually takes a few weeks to be re-read by Google.
Where buyers search, and who they find
We checked Google's US top 10 for 14 searches your buyers use. thedissertationcoach.com is your real competitor. mydissertationeditor.com, the site Nick flagged in his video, shows up less often on buyer searches, but it publishes far more: Google shows it for 1,818 searches, against 477 for thedissertationcoach.com.

Numbers are the site's spot in Google's US results on 24 September 2026. A dot means not in the top 10. *Google reports one shared figure for this whole group of wordings, so don't add those rows together. On buyer searches like these, advertisers pay Google about $27 a click, which tells you what a visitor from them is worth.
The Word questions are the biggest audience you already reach
Your clean-copy post already shows up in Google for 470 different wordings of one question: how to get tracked changes and comments out of a Word file. In the last three months Google showed it 8,313 times for those wordings, and it drew 40 clicks. For "how to save a word document without comments" it sits around sixth. What's missing is a reason for those readers to go on to your services.
Your buyers say what they need, and the service pages don't answer it
All seven service pages end on the same button, "Get PhD Help Now!", and none of them shows a price, a number of days or your free sample edit. Your buyers' own words say what each page should lead with instead. We read all 46 written testimonials, the 10 Google reviews on your site and your five video clips, and set what each group wants, believes, worries about and is aiming for next to what its page says today.
The core buyer
A working professional finishing an applied doctorate (EdD, DNP, DBA, or a PhD in leadership, education or nursing) at a school built for adults. At least 19 of the 46 name one: Capella, Liberty and Concordia three times each, Phoenix twice, then Walden, Northcentral, Grand Canyon and others. Most buy at the end of the project, for proofreading, formatting and committee sign-off. Statistics clients arrive in the middle.
1. The core buyer: finishing a doctorate/dissertation-editing//style-formatting//data-analysis//coaching-consultation/
"my Dissertation Committee requested no edits or revisions, because my work was edited to perfection."
"My university's library approved my dissertation for publication with minimal corrections needed!"
The editing page leads with "Dissertation and Thesis Editing by PhDs". The committee comes up once, inside the heavy developmental editing card. The formatting page promises "compliance with your university submission guidelines" and never names the library review or ProQuest.
The result they pay for, a committee and a library that sign off, is never the headline.
"APA editing, punctuation, and sometimes appropriate grammar are not my strongest areas."
"my statistician also explained the statistics to me and how best to articulate them in my dissertation"
The statistics page says "Let us do the analysis and interpretation for you". The tutoring these clients praise sits on a different page, the coaching page.
The statistics page sells doing it for them. Your statistics clients praise being taught.
"I had been mislead by a couple of other online companies that claimed to be editors."
"They did not do the work, but they went into depth and broke EVERY section down for me."
None of the four pages says you don't ghostwrite or links your academic integrity policy. "We do not ghostwrite" appears only on /universities/. The reviews are the same ten on every page (see Reviews).
The two fears that stop a sale are answered only on a page written for universities.
"Though a bit more costly than others, I appreciated their professional touch."
"Dissertation Editor was very accommodating given my tight deadline."
Each page says "We provide a specific price quote and timeline" and stops there. The editing page offers "Rush Services" but no number of days. The free one-page sample edit is mentioned only on the FAQ.
A buyer comparing firms has to contact you before learning anything they can compare.
"My dissertation passed on the first try"
"My dissertation was accepted and passed last week"
Every button on all four pages reads "Get PhD Help Now!".
The button names the help. It doesn't name the next step or the finish line.
- Agent Change the editing page's "Need Help With Dissertation Editing?" heading so it names the committee.
- Agent drafts, you approve Name the library review and ProQuest in the formatting page's promise.
- Agent drafts, you approve Rewrite the statistics page's opening line so it offers to explain the analysis, not only to run it.
- Agent drafts, you approve Put a starting price, the number of days and the free sample next to the button on each of the four pages, using the figures already on your rates page and FAQ.
- Agent drafts, you approve Add one line near each button saying you edit rather than write, linked to your academic integrity policy. It supports the "Is this allowed?" work in the section below.
- Agent drafts, you approve Change the editing page's button to name the next step.
Prices and days are copied from your rates page and FAQ. The coaching line says "start at $130" because the two pages disagree on the statistics session price (see Small things). The integrity line uses your policy's own words: "it is not a writing company."
2. Faculty publishing for tenure/journal-article//universities/
"As a clinical assistant professor, with no time to develop peer-reviewed journal articles for career progression"
"The editor I worked with helped me with publishing an article."
/journal-article/ opens with "Publish Your Research as a Journal Article" and never mentions tenure, promotion or faculty.
It sells the article. These buyers were buying time and a career step.
"Going up for tenure was one of the most stressful moments of my career"
Tenure appears once on the whole site, in a bullet on /universities/: "Support creating tenure portfolio". On /journal-article/, one heading reads "Journal Article Writing for Academics and Researchers", while your integrity policy rules out ghostwriting for journals and tenure files. The text under that heading describes editing, but the heading doesn't say so.
A professor worried about a tenure file reads "Writing" and has to guess where your line is.
"I am now proud to be a Tenured Faculty member at Coastal Carolina University!"
None of the written faculty testimonials (Sota, Anderson, Gleasman-DeSimone) appears on /journal-article/. Sota's video clip plays on /universities/, not here.
The page for publishing faculty shows no faculty who got tenure.
- Your team Decide whether article work ever includes writing. Then Agent drafts, you approve retitle "Journal Article Writing for Academics and Researchers" to match, with the same integrity line as the core pages.
- Agent drafts, you approve Add a short section to /journal-article/ for faculty on the tenure track, built on Sota's and Anderson's words, and show those testimonials there.
3. Journal editors buying for their authorsno page
"We've used Dissertation Editor in our role as journal editors. Our authors are very grateful! After the peer review process, we offer this service free of charge to our authors."
No page speaks to a journal buying for its authors. /journal-article/ talks to authors and /universities/ talks to schools.
A buyer who pays for many authors at once has nowhere to land.
"The pricing is fair"
Neither page shows a price for article work. The $1,500 to $5,000 range for turning a dissertation into an article is on the rates page only.
Fair pricing is what this buyer noticed, and the pages don't show it.
One review is all the evidence for this group, so it gets two rows rather than four.
- Your team Decide whether to offer journals a named service, since at least one already buys it. If yes, Agent drafts, you approve a short "For journal editors" section on /universities/ with Dalton's quote.
4. New PhDs turning the dissertation into a book/books/
"My book is currently published and available for purchase on Amazon.com"
"played a crucial role in the successful publication of my two textbooks."
"Publish Your Research as a Book" is the right headline. But Talley's published book isn't on /books/. Fitzpatrick's textbook review is, only because the same Google reviews appear on every service page.
The proof this page needs, a finished book, is missing from it.
"helping me to maintain my authentic voice"
Hill's clip plays on the page, but the page's own words never promise to keep the author's voice. "Book Ghostwriting" is the second service listed, with no note on where it stops.
An academic author who wants their own voice sees ghostwriting first and no explanation.
- Agent Show Talley's and Ott's testimonials on /books/, as part of the page-by-page reviews fix in Reviews.
- Agent drafts, you approve Add one line under Dissertation-To-Book Conversion promising to keep the author's voice, in Hill's words.
- Your team Approve a note under Book Ghostwriting saying where it stops. Your policy already draws the line: no ghostwriting for "traditional academic publication outlets or benchmarks of academic career advancement, such as tenure portfolio."
5. Universities and companies buying for their people/universities/
"Dissertation Editor is wonderful to work with and the ZS team is getting exactly what they had hoped for."
The page itself speaks to schools: "University Partnerships help students and faculty achieve their goals." Its title and description in Google speak to students: "Dissertation Editing for University Students" and "Professional dissertation editing for university students at undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD levels worldwide." The page ends on the student button, "Get PhD Help Now!".
Google is told this page is for students, and a partner reaching the bottom is offered student help.
- Agent Give /universities/ a title and description for schools and companies, and change the bottom button to match the top one.

Change only the text listed below and leave the design alone. The site's firewall (WP Defender) locks out anyone who requests several missing pages in a row, so never test addresses in bulk. Task: make the service pages speak to the buyers who use them. Do the "Change now" items. For the "Draft only" items, do not change the live page: write the proposed text into a list and send it to the owner for approval. Change now: 1. On /dissertation-editing/, change the section heading "Need Help With Dissertation Editing?" to "Get Your Dissertation Ready for Your Committee". Leave the text under it alone. 2. On /universities/, in Yoast, set the SEO title to "University Partnerships for Dissertation Support | Dissertation Editor" and the meta description to "Editing, statistics and publishing support that universities and companies buy for their students, faculty and staff. Preferred vendor for eight universities." 3. On /universities/, change the bottom button text "Get PhD Help Now!" to "Speak With Our Academic Partnerships Team" and point it where the top button with that text points. Draft only (send to the owner, do not publish): 4. /style-formatting/: after "will guarantee compliance with your university submission guidelines" add ", including your library's format review and ProQuest's requirements". 5. /data-analysis/: replace "Let us do the analysis and interpretation for you" with "We run the analysis with you and explain every result, so you can present it to your committee yourself". 6. Next to the main button on each page, one line: - /dissertation-editing/: "Proofreading a 60,000-word dissertation costs $1,500. Full dissertations typically take 7 to 12 business days. Send us one page and we'll edit it free." - /style-formatting/: "Formatting costs $2 a page." - /data-analysis/: "Quantitative analysis starts at $450. Statistics work typically takes 5 to 7 business days." - /coaching-consultation/: "One-on-one sessions start at $130 an hour." Check each figure against /rates/ and /faq/ before drafting. If a figure differs, use the one on /rates/ and tell the owner. 7. Under the main button on those four pages: "We edit and advise. We are not a writing company. Read our academic integrity policy." Link the last sentence to /academic-integrity-policy/. 8. /dissertation-editing/: change the button text "Get PhD Help Now!" to "Get a Quote and a Free Sample Edit". Keep its current link. Check the result: - View the source of /universities/ and confirm the new title and description are in the page head. - Open /dissertation-editing/ on a phone-sized screen and confirm the new heading shows. When you finish, list every change you made, page by page, with the old text and the new text.
Every service page shows the same ten reviews
Every service page carries the same 10 Google reviews in the same order, plus three video clips chosen without regard to the service. On a formatting page, the lead video is a professor talking about his tenure file. You have matching testimonials for almost every service. They just sit on /testimonials/.
| Page | Testimonials you already have for it |
|---|---|
| /dissertation-editing/ | Robertson, Long, Singh, Villarreal, Brown, Appleton, Murduca, Newton, Gregory, Bennett, Johnson, Turner |
| /style-formatting/ | Wong (ProQuest), Norton (tables, library approval), Washington, Morin, Hitzke |

| /universities/ | Dalton, Sota, Anderson, Suchotliff (ZS), plus students from the schools whose logos you show |
| /chicago/, /defense-prep-services/, /research-assistance/ | None yet. Ask your next few clients for these. |
Some video labels name the wrong person. On /qualitative/, Shalene Hill's clip about her book is labelled "Dr. Mark Robertson / Author / Retired U.S. Military Chaplin". Robertson is called "CEO and Editor in Chief", your title, on /books/ and /journal-article/. "Chaplin" should be "Chaplain" on 9 pages. The Emory client is "McCowan" under the video and "McGowan" on /testimonials/.
- Agent Show each service page's own testimonials, from the table above, near its price or button.
- Agent Correct the video labels. Put McCue's qualitative clip on /qualitative/.
- Agent Add a written transcript under each video. We have already transcribed all five clips, so you can paste them in. Google can't watch a video, but it can read the transcript.
- Your team Upload the clips to a YouTube channel for the firm as well. That makes them findable in video search.
- Agent Give /testimonials/ a title and description that state the count, as below.
- Agent The old address /client-testimonials/ still appears in Google (90 times in three months). Check that it forwards to /testimonials/. It returned an error when we tried it, and your firewall may have caused that error.
Your team's checklist
- Confirm the Emory client's name: McCowan or McGowan.
- Confirm the name and title that should label Shalene Hill's clip.
- Set up a YouTube channel under the firm's own Google account, then upload the five clips.

Use this list: /dissertation-editing/: Robertson, Long, Singh, Villarreal, Brown, Appleton, Murduca, Newton, Gregory, Bennett, Johnson, Turner /style-formatting/: Wong, Norton, Washington, Morin, Hitzke /apa-style/: Strain, Young-Palmer, Frazier /data-analysis/ and /quantitative/: Pinckney-Shaw, Rouse-Wilson, Parke, Antonaccio, Ott, Lalli, McCrae, McGowan /qualitative/: McCue, Viola /coaching-consultation/: McKie, Washington, Antonaccio, Kim /books/: Talley, Ott, Shalene Hill, Fitzpatrick, Villarreal /journal-article/: Gleasman-DeSimone, Anderson, Dalton, Kim /universities/: Dalton, Sota, Anderson, Suchotliff Copy each testimonial word for word. Do not shorten or rewrite them. 2. Video labels: - Change "Chaplin" to "Chaplain" on /apa-style/, /books/, /chicago/, /coaching-consultation/, /defense-prep-services/, /journal-article/, /qualitative/, /quantitative/ and /style-formatting/. - On /books/ and /journal-article/, Dr. Mark Robertson is labelled "CEO and Editor in Chief". Change it to "Author / Retired U.S. Military Chaplain", as on the other pages. - On /qualitative/, the clip of Shalene Hill is labelled "Dr. Mark Robertson / Author / Retired U.S. Military Chaplain". Replace the label with the name and title the owner gives you. Ask if you don't have it. - Make sure Dr. Claire McCue's video (Professor of Social Welfare, CUNY) appears on /qualitative/. Add it if it is missing. - Leave "McCowan" and "McGowan" alone until the owner confirms the spelling. 3. Under each video, add a heading "Transcript" and paste the transcript the owner provides for that clip. 4. /testimonials/ - Yoast SEO title: change it to "Dissertation Editor Reviews: 46 Client Testimonials". Type the title fresh; the current one contains a garbled dash. - Yoast meta description: change it to "Read 46 reviews from doctoral students and faculty at Capella, Liberty, Concordia and other schools, on our editing, formatting, statistics and coaching." 5. Open https://dissertation-editor.com/client-testimonials/ once. If it does not land on /testimonials/, add a permanent (301) redirect from /client-testimonials/ to /testimonials/ with Yoast Premium's Redirects tool or the Redirection plugin. Check the result: - On three service pages, confirm the reviews shown match the list above. - Search the site for "Chaplin" and confirm no page still has it. - View the source of /testimonials/ and confirm the new title and description. When you finish, list every change you made, page by page, with the old text and the new text.
"Is this allowed?" gets a good answer on a page nobody can find
Your FAQ answers the worry directly ("Is editing my dissertation or thesis considered cheating?"). Your academic integrity policy backs it up. /universities/ lists eight schools you are a preferred vendor for: Liberty, Concordia University Chicago, the University of Arizona Global Campus, the University of South Florida, the American College of Education, California Baptist, Alabama State and Doane. And many of your testimonials come from students at those same schools.
But the page built to prove this, /ethics-and-academic-integrity/, has no links pointing to it, and Google has never seen it. It also still carries a drafting note: under "Official Alignment With University Policies" the only text is "Include a downloadable Academic Integrity Statement." /partnership-models/ and /writing-centers-grad-schools/ are unlinked and unseen too.
One detail needs fixing today. On /universities/, the page that promises "100% Human-Powered, No AI", the hidden description of the classroom photo ends with a chatbot sign-off: "Is this conversation helpful so far?" Screen readers read that text aloud, and Google reads it too.
- Agent Remove "Is this conversation helpful so far?" from that image description.
- Your team Finish the ethics page or take it down. It still needs the Academic Integrity Statement it promises. Once it is finished, an agent can link it from the FAQ and the footer.
- Agent drafts, you approve Write one page that answers "Is it cheating to hire a dissertation editor?" It should use the FAQ answer, the Washington quote, the preferred-vendor logos, and what each of those schools' own policies say. thedissertationcoach.com ranks #7 for this search, and Reddit ranks above it.
- Agent Link the two university partnership pages from /universities/.
Your team's checklist
- Write or approve the downloadable Academic Integrity Statement, or decide to take the ethics page down.
- Read the draft of the "Is it cheating" page before it goes live.
Prompt for an AI agent or your developer: steps 1, 3 and 4
You are editing the WordPress site dissertation-editor.com (WordPress, Elementor Pro, Yoast SEO). Work in the WordPress admin. Confirm a current backup exists before you start. Change only the text listed below and leave the design alone. The site's firewall (WP Defender) locks out anyone who requests several missing pages in a row, so never test addresses in bulk. Task: fix the university pages and draft one new page. 1. On /universities/, open the classroom photo in the Media Library. Its alt text reads "Empty university classroom with desks, chairs, and presentation screens at the front Is this conversation helpful so far?". Delete the words "Is this conversation helpful so far?" and keep the rest. Also check the alt text set on the Elementor image widget itself, since it can override the Media Library. 2. Create a new page as a draft (do not publish) titled "Is It Cheating to Hire a Dissertation Editor?" at /is-it-cheating-to-hire-a-dissertation-editor/. Build it only from material already on the site: - the FAQ answer to "Is editing my dissertation or thesis considered cheating?" - the Academic Integrity Policy page - the eight schools on /universities/ that list the firm as a preferred vendor: Liberty, Concordia University Chicago, the University of Arizona Global Campus, the University of South Florida, the American College of Education, California Baptist, Alabama State and Doane - this client quote from /testimonials/: "They did not do the work, but they went into depth and broke EVERY section down for me." (Washington) Where you say what a school allows, link to that school's own published policy. If you cannot find one, leave a note in the draft instead of guessing. End the page with one offer only: "Send us your first page for a free sample edit", linking to /contact-us/. 3. On /universities/, link /partnership-models/ and /writing-centers-grad-schools/ from the section that describes how the firm works with schools. 4. Do not link /ethics-and-academic-integrity/ anywhere yet. It is unfinished. Check the result: - View the source of /universities/ and confirm the phrase "Is this conversation helpful" no longer appears. - Send the owner the preview link for the new draft page. When you finish, list every change you made, page by page, with the old text and the new text.
